Robert Schäfer
Robert Schäfer is a multi-lingual communications consultant
with international experience in both the commercial and non-profit
sectors. Based in Berlin, Germany, he travels extensively to
meet his clients' needs and has established a network of senior
communications consultants around the world to add specific
expertise to each project.
Prior to becoming a self-employed communications
consultant, Schäfer spent more than 12 years in Public
Relations and communications, including working for major German
theatres; the Frankfurt Goethe-University; the Central Bureau
of the German Family Planning Association, Pro Familia; and
Fleishman-Hillard International Communications, one of the largest
PR agencies in the world.
As Vice President, he coordinated domestic, European, and global
accounts on behalf of his clients. He also served as a communications
consultant to the World Health Organization and helped develop,
implement, and evaluate a EU-funded national family planning
communications programme in Bulgaria.
Schäfer works for clients from the profit
and not-for-profit sectors at both domestic and international
levels. One of his specialties is health communications.
Schäfer studied Drama at Vienna University,
and holds a degree in Public Relations from the German Academy
of Public Relations. He is fluent in English, French, and German.
